Resist
These brooches were created for the exhibition Pins & Posters: Against the Normalization of Rightwing Ideology in Amsterdam, NL during the summer of 2025. The exhibition call stated “Unity against threats from the extreme right is timelessly relevant, internationally. Current developments in the world make clear: the normalization of rightwing ideology demands daily resistance and a counter-mobilization to make antifascism the norm. For the extreme right, antifascism, antiracism, feminism, environmental activism, the LGBTQIA+ movement, campaigns for social justice and climate justice, pacifism, all belong together, labeled as „unnatural egalitarianism”. Therefore the various movements have one opponent in common: the extreme right. We must stand together to support and strengthen a democratic civil society.”
