I will be teaching a workshop at the Penland School of Crafts during the summer of 2013. The class From Ferrous to Fine will look at steel
from a jewelry mindset.
My work will be a part of the exhibition Fabricated: An Exhibition of Wearable Art at the Torpedo Factory's Target Gallery. The show, juried by Rachel Timmins, will run from February 2 - March 3, 2013. Opening reception on February 14th, 6 - 8pm.
If you are in the Austin, Texas area, join me for a weekend workshop at the
Creative Side Jewelry Academy on January 5 - 6, 2013 from 10am - 6pm.
I will be teaching a hands-on workshop on how to forge a spoon. We will
explore different hammer blows, tapering, thickening, splitting, sinking,
planishing, texturing, and other surface finishing methods. The workshop
will end with an Ice Cream Social, the perfect way for us to test our
creations!
